WOW. We've been tracking your support for the adorable Jonas Brothers and their latest video--and we're totally bowled over. And I'm sure that the Jonas Brothers would be too. While you got your fan mojos on, you actually helped us uncover a bug in our comment counter on the video page! There is a fix currently in the works now so that we can allow an unlimited number of comments. The good news is that all the comments were actually recorded, it was just the count that was off.

We decided to do a little housekeeping while the fix is taking place, so we eliminated all duplicate comments just to make it easier for you to get through them. Half the fun of watching the video is seeing what people have to say about it, right? We wanted to make it easier for you to see more comments at once. It's not our general policy to delete duplicates, but given the circumstances we figure you'd understand.

We alerted our Music & Talent department to all of your efforts and they're letting the Jonas Brothers' label know how active and motivated you guys have been around the band. We were definitely impressed by your organization and mobilization so we passed the word on.

Think

Think is a new online community where young people, their friends and some of the biggest names in pop culture can come together to bring about positive change. Think.MTV.com is a dynamic, multimedia-driven site where any young person can learn more about important issues like the environment, sexual health and immigration, share their opinions – via uploaded online videos, podcasts and blogs – and connect with others to make a difference.

The Think Community is one of the only to reward members for positive actions taken online or off, serving up chances to hang out with socially conscious celebs, access to exclusive MTV events, exposure on MTV and other national media outlets, as well as grants, scholarships and more. Bono, Pete Wentz, Shakira, Reggie Bush, Rosario Dawson, Nick Cannon, Miss USA Rachel Smith, John Legend, Nick Lachey, Chris Rock and Steve Nash are just a few of the stars already involved with the Think Community, and many more will be joining in the weeks ahead.

mtv community

As promised months ago when we flipped the site from a short-lived Flash experience back to an HTML platform, we've been constantly working on new MTV.com features and improvements. The smaller stuff has been rolling out quite regularly, but now we're ready to test something a bit bigger.

Today we took the first step towards implementing community features with the launch of beta.mtv.com. Admittedly, it's a baby step: mostly it's commenting and the ability to rate content (video, photo, articles). But creating the back end for this lays the foundation for other features that comprise most online communities (user profiles, customization, messaging, etc.) that we will unveil in the coming months.

We have also made it possible for you to snag our music video clips and post them to your MySpace page or blog. The video embed codes sit to the left of our music videos.

Because we want to get it right before going public, we've got the beta launch. We invited people who previously registered with MTV.com to take part and asked them to invite their friends. But you're not left out, either. Interested MTV Labs users are invited to join in, too, by clicking here.

So, please, kick the tires a bit for us. Rate music videos new and old, sound off on a news article and engage other beta testers in conversation. And let us know the good and the bad of how it's working by leaving a comment here.
