It’s cool. I would love to enter the contest if the remixer didn’t keep freezing up. I used a G5 powermac and it doesn’t seem to be doing the job.

i am so disappointed and upset..

i just spent all night making the most sick remix video for common
and then when i went to publish it, it said i had one last step ..to sign in and to close the window to do so..so i close the window and sign in..and there is no video !!!!!!!! i want to scream!! i am so depressed right now
how can i get that back !?!?!

i just worked for the good majority of the night/morning making
such a perfect 2nd version of COMMON’S song..
once before i did this and everything was deleted..but i just took a deep breath and did it all over again..

I am sorry to hear about the problems you’ve been encountering and
I can sympathize with you completely.
I spent two evenings trying to upload videos that I put my heart and time into. Each effort resulted in the receipt of the same failure message and I found myself upset, but only briefly, as I began to recall that I am not dealing with an exact science.
Unfortunately you will not be able to retrieve your lost cuts, but I encourage you to try again. I am willing to share my upload success, so please feel free to respond to this post if you are interested.

I just wanted to apologize for my last comment. I was very frustrated after all the hard work that I had put in to remaking Common’s video, you lost it.. or there wasn’t a save option. I really let you get the best of me, and that is not me. I know the hard work and hours I put in to the video, so when it was gone, i just snapped. MTV was kind enough to let me come on to your site and play around with the videos. So thankyou for that. But after u lost my last video, i feel it was God tellin me to stop playin on the computer for MTV and start doing video editing for real..on my equipment, AVID, final cut, adobe production premium..instead of these toys u have here to play with. That u can’t even save your progress on.. SO THANKYOU, for kickin me into gear to get back to real work. ALways Bless~ Thankyou Common for allowing me to chop up your video.. one day i will do it for real…

Why did all of the work, I put inot the Common remix video dropped? Not sure, but whatever the reason, maybe there should be a disclaimer placed at the onset, so expectations are set.

you should make a contest for real and use a better editor such as i movie or final cut the editor freezes up and the video you cant see before hand how it looks before you put it on the track. Also i would rather hear the music all the way through without stopping instead of only playing one clip. same goes for the transitions would love to have been able to seen them preview instead of having to place them on the track and hit preview and then switch it out over and over again because they didn’t look good.
NOT IMPRESSED!!! your MTV you can do better

I know what you mean Nick re: the video editor, however I think they are meaning this contest for people who don’t know how to use stronger programs. I don’t see why you can’t view while doing it, but I guess people like us can make our own and then put them on YouTube.

i hate that once you add a border, you can’t undo it. i tried undoing it using the undo button and it doesn’t work! now an hour’s worth of work is down the drain. please fix!

i was able to access the britney remixer earlier, now when i try to get to it, it just takes me back to the paramore page. even when i manually enter in “contest6″ it takes me to “contest5″ automatically. WTF??

WTF!!!! i just made a britney remix and it told me i needed to sign up so i did and then i lost my video!!!! NOW I CANT EVEN GET BACK TO THE REMIX PAGE!!!! its like it doesnt exist! i worked so hard on my video! and its gone. the least someone can do is help us find the page to remix!
