I want to see more metal on Mtv. Like on TRL! Need more rock in general on your network. What’s with this rap crap all the time? Is Mtv afraid they will be sued by the race card abusing minorities? Should at least have an equal amount of air time for REAL rock and metal.

Thanks for not totally dieing on us, but it would be nice if you had V.J.’s on headbanger’s ball give us a face that stays we need faces to the madness, try not to look so much like you’re your trying to sell us something, and they call us creepy when I saw TRL??? (Brainwashing) no we don’t care what MTV big wigs say because there kids listen to it, that’s not what we want to hear, and (hint hint) more shows and or reality shows around Metal you know with a Metal theme, not the main stream stuff we’re screaming for something different I still want my MTV don’t care what they say come to me…

I turned on Headbanger’s Ball for the first time in about 2 and a half years. I was disgusted. You guys completely sold out. I watched the first hour and turned it off. Half the damn show was commercials. One quarter was emo crap and the other quarter was wanna be King Diamond. This is horrible. The heaviest video I saw was the crap that the lead singer of System of a Down came out with. Two and a half years ago you wouldn’t have even allowed System of a Down on the damn show and now it is the heaviest thing. You guys have got some serious problems. This show used to be my damn escape from the rap world. The only other show like it was Uranium on Fuse but they got rid of that two. Has the music world given death metal and black metal the finger or what. The person who picked all the crap you put on should be taken out in front of the red shed and shot in the head.

Headbanger’s ball is the best show in MTV2. Though i was disappointed when the moved it back to 11pm on saturdays and dropped Jamey Jasta. It’s still a great show and gives these great metal bands exposure! Thanks

Diggin’ it here, guys. I’m a 37 year old ‘banger and was a ‘Ball junkie from the first go-round, only missing twice ever…went out, came home to watch, went back out again, or would steal the t.v. at a party or whatever it took, ya know?
I’m glad there’s still a viable outlet for metal and if anything, the ‘Ball is heavier than it used to be, so cheers to that. As a metal and punk interviewer, reviewer and photographer for Metal Maniacs, AMP, Pit, Hails & Horns, Impose, Live4Metal, Rough Edge and my own site The Metal Minute, it’s great that so much action is going on right now and it’s hard as hell to keep up on everything going on in the world of metal.
