It was great to see the new KAMELOT “Ghost Opera” video. Keep it up. Firewind and Dream Evil got a little airplay but then went away and you returned to cookie monster vocal tunes. I think all metal has a place, but I wear out my Tivo fast foward button on some episodes trying to find just one video that’s listenable. Even the new Megadeth and Ozzy are great…

It’s about time you guys showed a Kamelot video. I hope to see Ghost Opera on Headbanger’s Ball again. Also , I hope you guys end up playing vids from other bands like Sonata Arctica, Masterplan, Firewind, Nevermore,etc. Thanks for the good work.

MORE KAMELOT. I thought I was seeing things last Saturday while watching headbangers ball. There are usually two videos out of the entire bunch that I even remotely enjoyed, because of the excess of screamo and post-hardcore bands. But when I saw Kamelot, I about creamed my panties. PLAY MORE KAMELOT. It wouldn’t hurt to get Nightwish’s upcoming video “Amaranth”, too; as they will be doing a US tour in the fall. And while you’re at it, Tarot would be a good pick, too. Everyone loves some good symphonic power metal from Finland!!
Get some people aware of these great bands!

MTV it is time to embrace the new metal scene. Great artists who never get any air and tv play need to be known. Bands such as Kamelot, Sonata Arctica, Symphony X are the new wave of metal in the world. Power, Symphonic and Progressive metal needs it’s time in the spot light.
Bands that were featured on the original headbangers ball influenced many of these great artist and it is time to return to your roots.
However please be careful in the ands you feature. Bands like Dragon Force do not display the true skill and grace as the mentioned bands.
Nu Metal is on it’s way out and European metal is coming to invade. Surrender and embraced metal’s greatest evolution.

Great artists who never get any air and tv play need to be known Bands such as Kamelot, Sonata Arctica, Symphony X ” FYI: let me tell you something, at least those 3 bands had been on the road for 8 to 10 years, late 90s, early 2000s, the power, the progressive and symphonic bands had been touring all around the world with big success!!!, those bands are big names in Europe, Asia, and Southamerica, not just Kamelot (from Florida, USA), Symphony x (from NY) or sonata arctica (from finland), there is a plenty of power progressive metal bands like edguy, stratovarius, hammerfall, masterpaln, gammaray, blind guardian, dark moor, angra, vission divine, and a long ETC. which had been on the road FOR at least 10 or even 12 years..so, why did u said: new metal scene when those bands had been on the road for years?? maybe those bands are new for you, but not for everyone into the metal scene.
I can understand that, for some reason in the United States, at late 90s and early 2000s, the media start to call to the american bands like korn, limp bizlit, linkin park,etc, heavy metal, nu metal, and hardcore and some other terms, and the same media, even Mtv, start to think that all the heavy metal should sound like tose bands. so, new american bands came to the scene playing and screaming, (not singing)the bands started to focusing only on scream, and the media just focusing on screaming hard core all american bands, so sad for american bands like KAMELOT, Symphony X, and Dream Theater. As the years came by, while the american bands were worried about the screaming hardcore, the european bands were worried for a more melodic and artistic way of play metal.
So good that you think that those bands need more attention from the media in the US, but this is not a new form of heavy metal, it has been around for years, maybe its new for the American Listeners.

You guys need to put METAL on the 1st MTV , not just MTV2
MTV1s music mostly is a disgrace… yet MTV2 seems to actually KNOW about music
Also though… I have watched headbangers ball many times and I rarely ever see foreign metal bands
Wheres the power metal at? Headbangers ball kinda neglects it…
And you need some foreign metal videos like children of bodom , hammerfall , sonata arctica ,etc so on and so forth
Make with the power metal on headbangers ball , and try to get headbangers ball on MTV1 to expose those linkin park obsessed kids to some metal.
